Today, I overheard my boss talking about me on the phone. Turns out he was drunk off his ass when he gave the go-ahead to hire me, and he's now searching for any excuse to legally fire me. FML

Take a preemptive strike and go over his head or to HR. make sure to make a case proving you should keep working there though xD

My first boss did that, then fired me. Two years later co-worker took over his job a re-hired me because she realized how good I was at my job.

...know how I know you're not American? Because he needs a reason. Most states are "at-will employment" meaning bosses literally don't need a reason to fire someone.
