Sounds hot.
it helps if you just don't do that.
Oh wow. The exact same thing happened to me except they didn't really drill a hole in it. They just left it alone for 3 days until the skin came off on its own along with the dried blood. Sucks to hear that you had to go through such pain.
So it wasn't really the same thing, just similar in that you smashed an appendage with something.
I've done that numerous times (quite sadly) and i just let it grow out, it corrected itself for me.
I don't see how this is an FML. This is quite normal. People in my job drill holes in their nails themselves when this happens. The fact you went to a doctor means it was bad enough to need attention and I'm willing to bet your finger felt a million times better after. Stop whining to get posted on FML.
Pretty sure that injuries in general suck, and having a procedure like that done can be really stressful to people who don't injure themselves in such a way on a routine bases. especially since the human brain would literally be blaring alarms about how a hole is being put in a body part.
I had this happen to me, except I got a hole drilled in my nail, not burned
I slammed my middle finger in the car door. I had to reopen the door to get it out.

Nailed it.
The pain sucks at first, but it'll be much better than the pain the swelling would have caused.
