Today, I picked up my 17 years old daughter after a late night movie in down town and got pulled over by a cop. He questioned us for a solicitation. I told the cop that she was my daughter but he said "so you are the daddy" and laughed. Good to know that my daughter looks like a ho and I a perv. FML

A lot of cops are idiots. Not saying that there aren't good ones but a lot of them are idiots.

WTF? Or maybe the cop just has a dirty mind XD

I saw almost the exact same thing happen in an advert (I think for a credit card). Just sayin'.

"thousands of generations" might be pushing it a bit... :P

Crazy that you can't even pickup your own daughter from the cinema without being stopped by a cop. Says it all really when cops have that mindset: everyone is on the game. Once someone stopped me in a bar thinking I was "rent"... I was gobsmacked...

#21, you're definitely rude.

what's up with people calling the daughter a hoe? do we have some rude people in this world or what?!

Don't take it to heart. Pigs just need to say things like that to make themselves feel important.

I got a crazy idea that will rock the world of all the mothers replying on here because they haven't left their home in the past couple decades. Hos dress like normal teenagers! I know, its shocking that social values change over the course of time. But your parents said the same thing about you, and their parents said it about them. Its been happening since at least the first recorded writing that old people complain about young people breaking laws, drinking too much, and having wild sex. Old people are just whining they don't have it anymore. And if you think I'm full of it, I challenge you to show me how your generation is any different from the thousands of generations before it.

That happened to my dad once when he was driving my sister and I. We were about 15 and 16 at the time, and the cop made us take out our IDs to prove that we were my dad's children. Cops in Fridley suck.

Stupid America. What right does the cop have to tell people what to do with their time and money, even if that's what this was? Well, except for the girl being 17 bit I guess. Man, if I have kids will I suddenly turn anal-retentive and start judging anyone with half a generation gap on me like some of you guys do?? Fashion styles change, so they're moving toward showing more skin. Guess what? That's been steadily happening for several generations. Just because more of a girl's body is exposed doesn't mean that she doesn't respect herself, and people her age will not look at her and think, "Hey, she's trying to seduce me." They'll see a girl dressed normally. Meanwhile, bundle her up in YOUR generation's standards of decency, and they'll see a prudish girl who doesn't keep up with the times, is stuck in the previous generation, and probably isn't any fun to be around. If this doesn't sound familiar to any of the older people who are complaining, you're not paying attention, because the majority of your generation went through the exact same thing as kids. I'm also fond of the way that music is demonized due to a generation gap. First jazz was the medium of Satan's message, then rock'n'roll, then metal.
