Today, I proposed to a girl I'd been in love with for 6 years. I filled the balcony of the building where I'd first laid eyes on her with innumerable roses and, under the starlit sky, I did it. She later posted on facebook 'OMG. This geek I knew from high school did the FUNNIEST thing today'. FML

Today, I was going to propose to my girlfriend of 3 years. I got reservations for a romantic dinner, and at the end, fireworks would spell out my proposal. The whole thing had taken weeks to plan out and had cost me a lot of money. She proposed to me at a subway station first. FML

Today, I married the beautiful girl I’ve been in love with since we were both 6 years old. By married, I mean I performed the marriage ceremony as the vicar and watched her smile and kiss her arsehole boyfriend, now husband, right in front of me. FML

Yup I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that NO ONE is stupid/creepy enough to propose to someone they have never seen since high school. The FML here is probably that he did a really elaborate, romantic proposal and she updated her facebook status not about the engagement, but about some geek from high school. Makes a lot more sense huh?

#210, there are a lot of really stupid people out there that think thy are in love with someone from afar so I would be more inclined to believe that this really happened. The guy probably had this HUGE expectation that she would be swept off her feet and fall completely in love with him blah blah blah. He should have known though, there are a lot of people on here that think they are in love with someone that they've never had a real conversation with
