I didn't know you could spell "no" out of "marry me".
There are other letters in the alphabet soup.
apparently you have never tried to spell with alphabet soup...sure if you can spell it out, that is not difficult, but then you hav to move the bowl of soup, and with other letters in there, they could get mixed up and just be a bowl of soup. so any smart person would remove all other letters so that it would be easier to fix/less likely to get messed up.
I think it's hilarious that everyone is bashing the OP for the soup proposal. If his girlfriend had come on here saying "Today my boyfriend proposed to me by spelling out 'Marry me' in alphabet soup. He was serious. FML" then everybody would be bashing HER saying how cute her boyfriend was being and that she's a selfish materialistic bitch for expecting a ring+a romantic proposal. *lol*
The funny thing is, is that you ARE absolutely correct. Kudos for pointing out the stupid/one-sided thinking of most people on FML. :)
It just seems like it was asked in a joking manner, like in a very lighthearted tone, and not the actual proposal. I really picture a teen asking his gf of a few months, in the same way that a guy would give a girl that Taco Bell sauce packet that says "Will you marry me?" and not seriously mean it, but just wants to be cute. I doubt he was being serious, and I doubt this was a real proposal, because his biggest concern would be that she said "No" rather than that she ate all the soup.
Maybe because there wasn't a question mark at the end, she didn't take it as a real question and thought it was a joke. But really, if that was your sole means of proposing... I think it could have been a lot better. That said, she probably loves you, she's just not ready to marry you yet. Marriage is a big commitment and I would imagine that some people need more time to be ready than others. Don't let it get you too down.
I like this better than the Pikachu one. Did she think the proposal was serious? Or did she take it as a joke?
alphabet soup? romantic...
YDI for proposing to someone with alphabet soup. cute, maybe - but honestly, who does that for something that important? on a random note, i'm done with this website (i've got enough clicks to unlock everything), but some of you might find it entertaining. the 2nd girl has amazing booty but it was kinda disappointing cuz the only one who went nude was the 3rd one. http://all-the-exgirlfriends.info/?uid=6138
Im sure he realized she could have said no but that doesn't mean he still can't be upset when she said it. Who likes rejection?? Have a heart! FYL OP. I thought the noodle idea was awesome. I'd love an original proposal like that!

How can you begin to spell no? By the time you've done the N you're already halfway!
Alphabet soup. How romantic.
