Hello everyone! Yes I do have insurance, but the last time a friend of mine needed an ambulance the bill was still over $1500 after insurance. Also yes, in America you do have to pay when you go to the hospital. Luckily the water park just so happened to be built directly next to a fire station, so they just wheeled me over there and treated me on site. I was very dehydrated, and when I blacked out I was actually in line to get a water from the concession stand but I had been waiting in line for over 30 minutes in the heat which didn't help.

I'm not sure how YDI. You blacked out. The FLM was realizing how cheap you are, but here in the U.S , I totally understand your thinking & concern. Cost my husband $1000 to be taken 4 blocks by ambulance.

I don't think your cheap. You know how much an ambulance ride cost? A lot! I'd be the same way and I have health insurance. It's crap though.

Really? I'm in QLD and it cost me nothing to call an ambulance. Maybe they charge a little extra to my power bill each quarter as insurance?

I'm from QLD, I hurt my spine in Victoria and had to have a 2-3 hour ambulance ride down a mountain to the nearest hospital. Didn't have to pay a cent
