Today, I realized I willingly support my boyfriend's alcoholism, because the only time he says "I love you" is when he's blind drunk. FML

My last boyfriend was like that. Totally different guy when drunk. I had to dump him because he was so emotionally unavailable when sober. We are still friends, but he is also still an alcoholic.

Drunk people tell the truth. When he's sober, he may not be ready to say it, despite wanting too, or he may be nervous. :3 don't worry op, when the time is right. Or ask him about it when he's drunk and see if you can get an answer out of him.
