I live in Massachusetts where not only is it illegal to text and drive but only a few months ago did a woman drive her car through a daycare center killing 5 preschool children and injuring about 6 others! ydi for being a self centered selfish asshole

Wow I wonder how the OP and all the other peeps who text and drive would have coped 20 or so years ago when mobiles /cell phones weren't about? All I have to say is that the OP deserves it and hope to god they get heavily fined and their insurance goes through the roof.

I am a police officer and it is against the law to text and drive or using non hands free devices period, if u lived in my state, u would not only get a 500$ fine, but get ur car taken away for good and charged with reckless driving. u are lucky u dudnt hurt or kill someone for ur stupidity, i hope ur insurance and the police find out about this

I could text while driving on my old phone because I did so much texting that I could type without looking at the phone (standard abc2 def3 keyboard w/ predictive text/autocomplete off) My new phone has a different type of keyboard on which I can't text without at least watching the screen.
