Consider yourself lucky not having to wear such killer shoes! Too bad about your toes though but at least now you have a good excuse not to be tortured. Shoes are really made for walking in, not painfully balancing in. Good luck!
Does the bride happen to spend most of her evenings on a brass pole? Because that's the only reason I can think of to warrant the use of six inch platform heels.
A really long dress? A tall bride who doesn't want to tower over people in the photos?
Most shoes with a heel that high have a slight platform on the sole to compensate for the heel height. I have a very classy pair of Steve Maddens with a six inch heel and a platform and they definitely are not stripper shoes.
six inches really isn't so big :p
Presumably this has actually been the plan for a while unless she's ridiculously last minute about things. It's a shame you won't be able to wear the shoes but you'll just have to go with flats. Hopefully you are wearing a long dress that will cover the boot in pictures!
THAT is your compliant? not your broken toes?
What is her friend rig unreasonable about? Unless the outfits were planned out after she broke her toes the bride didn't do anything wrong and seeing how you need to order everything in advance for a wedding the shoes were probably ordered before the toes were broken and arrived after. It's not like she's being forced to wear them

Hopefully, she's not a total Bridezilla and won't get mad at you for "stealing her attention".
Don't worry, the other women wearing the heels will feel like they have three broken toes once the night is over.
