Today, I rented a copy How To Train Your Dragon for my young son to watch. I put the DVD in, hit play without paying attention, and went off to make lunch. A few minutes later, my son ran into the kitchen screaming. Apparently, there was a mix up at the rental store and I got a copy of Saw IV. FML

I don't think the kid knows how to train his dragon yet...

Didn't you notice that the disc WASN'T how to train a dragon or that the menu was wrong?

True. Shouldn't the disk itself have said what the DVD was?

Not always, some times the copied disks at the store don't have the various paraphernalia on it. Still, they should have looked at the menu, unless it was a bootleg copy.

From working at a movie store, I can tell you that if they put artwork on a disc, all of the discs will have it. I have never experienced a movie with some silver discs and some printed ones. It is true that some discs do not have any sort of artwork on it, but Saw IV indeed does. There is a decapitated head in a scale as well as rather large letters stating that the movie is indeed Saw IV

Some rented DVDs, such as ones from Hastings, do NOT have the printed artwork. They are simply silver with the title printed on them.

This is bullshit. OP would have seen what film it was on the disk or on the menu pressing play. YDI for making up fake FML's

At least now he knows what violence is...?

I'm guessing the video store won't pay for your childs therapy?

This is either fake, or OP is a total ******* idiot

I've had that happen to me before, I get so into doing something else and just place the DVD in without reading it. The menu would have appeared, and just by THAT image a kid would be downright terrified!! Movie rental places do not have any bootlegged or blank DVDs, and mix ups are unusual but happen, so it cannot be a fake fml.
