As someone who has had several bikes stolen (that were all locked) YDI.
kind of ironic...but you didn't have a bike lock why would you bring your bike and leave it there...why didn't you just walk?
Fail. When you go out to buy a bike lock, you don't go by bike. Common sense.
TIMMY, SOMEONE STOLE YOUR BIKE? QUICK. WISH FOR A NEW ONE. Don't ask Cosmo.
Not exactly YDI imo, but on the same token it was a foolish move on your part; it would have been far smarter to walk or drive to the store to get the bike lock. I do have sympathy for you, it's happened to me as well, and while it's not your fault for there being dishonest people in the world, you need to take a measure of accountability for your own failure to secure your property against theft.
@ 29 : I'm not dumb, and I didn't say I thought it was funny. But sadly some people do. I teach to teenagers, and there was situations where some of them were bragging about stealing something to someone, and about how it was hilarious. I'm wasn't generalizing to everyone with a sense of humor, or to all teenagers before someone flames me about it. I was just giving an example. No need to call me dumb about it, that's just childish.

If you didn't have a decent lock why did you ride your bike and leave it where it could get stolen?
If you didn't already have a lock for your bike, you shouldn't have taken it to the store. Leaving your bike unlocked outside unattended is just asking for it to be stolen.
