Today, I rushed home to tell my parents my girlfriend had accepted my proposal. They asked how I could be so selfish at a time like this. Apparently, Michael Jackson's death is more important than their son. FML

Selfish? Your parents are idiots. I am sure they didn't know Michael personally. They are just a group of those weirdos who think they have some connection with a famous person because they listened to his music. Congrats on the proposal. I am happy for you. I know that doesn't mean much from a complete stranger, but your parents suck ass, so someone needs to pick up the slack.

You know what? This really sickens me, it also says a lot about our society. Your parents didn't personally know him, did they? Did they ever have an actual conversation or relationship with him?
