Today, I sat in bumper-to-bumper traffic for half an hour. The entire time, a man I had gone on a date with and that had gotten very out of hand with, was sitting in the car next to me. I noticed, panicked, and tried to drive off, rear-ending the car in front of me. FML

awh... what did you expect him to do if he saw you? YDI, panicked for no reason...

hm. i'd be more worried about the person's car you just trashed, not the one-time-shitty-date.

The entire time, a man I had gone on a date with and that had gotten very out of hand with, was sitting in the car next to me. This sentence doesn't make sense. "and that had gotten very out of hand with"? Is "that" the man? Or, as the syntax suggests, is it the date, that sucked so much that it got out of hand (and what would that mean?) And perhaps the strangest thing is that "with" has no object. Out of hand with what? Is the man supposed to be the object and she's the one who got out of hand? This is very silly. Do better FML mods. Do better.

It makes sense if you can read in English. Not everyone's going to make out a story perfectly. Don't nitpick because they're imperfect. Be frustrated because you can't interpret anything that's not spoon fed to you clearly. Essentially, she was in traffic and the guy she was with was touching her inappropriately, and she freaked out. In the process of spazzing, she hit the gas pedal and hit the car in front of her. Next time, OP, break his fingers. He won't bother you again. Though the hospital bill might be about the same as the rear-ended car. But he could have insurance. You never know.

Actually the guy was not in the the car with her because she said she NOTICED him so if he was in the car with her I would think she would NOTICE before half an hour. Anyway YDI for freaking out for really no reason and hitting someone

I disagree, vetter. You're saying your interpretation of this FML is obvious, but it makes no sense. If OP was sitting in traffic with a guy who was touching her inappropriately, why would it take her half an hour to notice him? I think the date was a while ago, they were in different cars, and she just didn't want to see him ever again. Meh, it happens. Next time, just don't glance over anymore.

@vetter, nay, the story is so badly written that even you got it wrong, I agree with letitbe, make some more sense...

Vetter, you're wrong and you're a d***. Just about everything you said is one big fail. Anywho, I agree; the wording of this FML is pretty terrible...

YDI for thinking you could speed away in this kind of traffic. You were there for at least 30 minutes, there's no excuse for your stupidity.

this is why women should not be allowed to drive.

I dont know what a traffic jam was doing in the kitchen anyways...

If I were moderating this, I would have accepted it so I could read all the comments. To the OP: If you're going to act like that, you'll be easy prey. Start being aware of your surroundings. Empower yourself. Do something nice for the person you hurt when you rear-ended their car. You've caused that person a year of physical misery.

This is why you don't carpool with people who were inappropriate on a date. Yes, I know what she meant that he was in the car next to her but she does make it sound like he is in the same car as her.

lol @perdix only a girl would ever do something as retarded as this.

Well, at least it wasn't an hour :) ydi for panicking though, you should've pretended he didn't exist
