Today, I saw my boss heading my way at work. He has a "no food in the office" policy, so I quickly scarfed down my Pop-Tart. I ended up choking on it so hard that I threw up. FML

Today, because I was the only manager scheduled, I went into work despite feeling sick to my stomach. While sitting down with a customer, I got the urge to throw up and tried to hold it back. Instead I vomited in my mouth, instinctively swallowed and started choking in front of the customer. FML

Today, I attended my first meeting with my bosses. For lunch we went to a restaurant. I choked on a piece of meat and couldn't breathe anymore. I had to take that piece of meat out of my throat with my fingers, and then put it back on my plate all chewed up. FML

Today, I was training for my new job at a restaurant. As part of training, they give you free food so you know what to recommend, and the dish I got was really good. Eight hours later I saw it again while I was puking. I got food poisoning from my own workplace. FML

YDI OP. If there is a rule against eating in the workplace then you should abide by that. The exception being If you need to eat due to a medical condition, but then you should have a doctors certificate so that the manager is aware.

That's generally a pretty standard rule. Lot's of people don't clean up after themselves, and problems while eating around computers. Not sure how this was a surprise. Though, I doubt he would have complained for eating a part tart if that was your breakfast on the way into work.
