This sounds like something a frustrated mother would say out of annoyance when her kid repeatedly ignores her warnings that it is dangerous to walk in certain locations after it has snowed. The kid does it anyway, and viola, gets hurt. If this is an accurate reflection of the OP's behavior and he/she still created an FML about it, the OP's completely ignorant of his/her own accountability in this situation.
Okay, so I dont know why everyone is automatically assuming the mother is paying for the visit. For all we know, OP could be an independent adult. - OP could lived out of state adn have flown in to visit her mom, which means no car, but also pays own medical bills. - OP might live nearby, and usually take public transportation because they have no car, but it was more convenient to get a ride with mom. - OP may have not realized what was wrong with her ankle, besides a lot of pain, and was afraid to drive on it (if it was the right one) and asked their mom for a ride. I know quite a few people in each of the second two situations, and I have personally been in the first one.... except I never hurt myself on vacation. Though that would suck. I know that If I were in one of the above situations and my mom couldn't swallow the four bucks, I'd be a bit annoyed, unless there was a legitimate reason. (i.e. just lost job and trying to save every possible penny, until they get a new one, or is in debt, or living on a very specific budget with no room for this)
nicely said..nicely said... lol
the op's mom paid for the bill because the op didn't mention that and that would have been worse
it's been 12 months since pull out failures post let's find out if he is now a father
YDI for simply not paying 4 ****** dollars.
What is everybody's problem?? IT'S 4 BUCKS. Mom is one stingy bitch if she's just that concerned over 4 bucks. A sprained ankle hurts so yay to all of you who don't think it's a big deal. The OP might've been in pain.
Have you ever gotten a sprained ankle? I do track every year and I've sprained my ankle a total of 3 times. All you have to do is wrap it up and place ice on it. You do not need to go to the hospital and spend around $200 for them to do the same. Hospital bills are freaking expensive. Also, for all you know, the mother probably didn't have any more cash on hand or extra money to spend after paying hundreds of dollars for the hospital visit.
Did you have the 4 bucks or not? 'cause if she made you walk home for not paying up, now that would be a FML.

Seriously? She can't drop four bucks on you, after you've been injured, no less? Your mom is one stingy-ass bitch.
Just shut up and pay the parking fee. It's not like you cant pay it off. Just remember this when she breaks a hip and tell her shes paying the parking fee. .__.
