Today, I spend two hours inside a bar talking about how I never worry about my boyfriend cheating on me when he travels for work. Everyone told me I was lucky to have such a great relationship. When we all decided to go out on the patio for a smoke, we saw him making out with someone else. FML

Well, technically he wasn't traveling for work when cheating on you...so I guess you were kind of right...

Eh...you may be generalizing a bit. I mean, come on, are you really trying to say that women and gay men are more competitive than straight men? I think not. However I agree with the overall statement you made. Bragging for hours to people about something that you have will often make them try to win it for themselves. And the fact that you're being an arrogant prick (TWO HOURS? That's a lot of self-centered conversation) doesn't really help you. I mean, it's not as though they're going to feel guilty for hooking up with your boyfriend if they already dislike you, right?

Well that sucks horribly for you...=

I'm sorry, but if I had to listen to someone talk for two hours about their boyfriend, stepping outside to see them with someone else would have made it worth it.

Because gay men aren't allowed in "straight" bars? Why do you just assume that the only bar this could have possibly taken place in is a "gay" bar?? And saying that talking about how a SO is faithful is "issuing a challenge"? Maybe for a minor few, but most people aren't going to try to steal their friend's boyfriend just because they talk about the fact that they're a good BF!! I don't know what kind of horrible people you've been hanging around, but you should probably find a better quality of people to associate with if that's what you think all people do.
