Today, I spent 2 hours making the perfect card for my dad for Father's Day. When I handed it to him, he smiled and said "Thank you" and then killed a fly with it. I found it in the trash a couple of hours later. FML

I bet if it had a naked chick on it he wouldn't have thrown it away, mind you it'd probably be really awkward.

Hey, atleast he got some use out of it.

well since they both were posted at the same time probably not.

Funny enough I had to go back and look at 12's post. I guess it was the picture..

what an @sshole! It is about love not about what the gift is. I would have been very happy to have a daughter like you, who put so much effort into my special day! *big hugs*

Ignore him next year. He deserves it.

I ignore my father. He's an abusive lying bastard.

so.. him "working" for five minutes makes it ok for him to be ungrateful and disrespectful to your son/daughter?

Stop thinking of yourself all the time and actually use your brain. Obviously your dad (myself included) don't give a damn about no card. The best way you can show your dad you appreciate them is going out and accomplishing important things in your life. Whether it be financial success, family success, or fulfilling dreams or lifelong goals. A piece of paper doesn't mean damn all to men and especially fathers. What matters is ACTIONS.

Well you have a lot to say on this subject. Write us an essay about it why don't you? Oh wait... you already have:)

A REAL dad would like anything your child made you. Looks like you and OPs dad should get together for the "worst f@cking dads on earth club!" I feel sorry for YOUR kid!

My dad kept cards that my sister and I made from many years back! It meant so much that he kept them! It has nothing to do with men not liking cards or other small gifts, some "men" just aren't assholes like you. I as well feel sorry for your kid(s)...

nahh it's just you. most parents actually care.

I agree and disagree. agree because parents do want to see their kids successful but disagree because fathers do like receiving things from their kids

Isn't giving a card like this an action showing love and affection? For you to not understand this makes me hope you don't have kids

Wow you're an asshole. I feel sorry for your kids(if you even have any). My dad loves homemade cards, more so over the ones you buy at the store.

u shouldn't talk about all dads when u say that. my dad LOVES when my sisters and I do something like make him a card. If u just don't care when ur kids make u stuff then ur an @sshole.

your a ******* asshole! shut the **** up and love your kids for the time love and affection they put into something just for you!!!! and if you don't want it then be respectful not a retarded douchebag!!!! **** you!

lol WTF.. she made him a card, she's not trying to win the politzer prize for her dad. any father should appreciate a card, it's nice. you're crazy.

I spent two hours making a card for my dad. He propped it on the printer at his desk. :)

9 has it right... get him a used tie next time!

This is why I don't like father's day. That, and my dad is dead.
