Today, I spent a solid four hours and over one hundred dollars preparing a nice fancy meal for my new girlfriend. A delicious three pound rack of ribs with a sweet and sour marinade. Steam broccoli with melted cheese. Home made buttermilk biscuits. I serve the meal. She doesn't eat beef. FML

That sucks, but before you go all-out on a meal like that you should at least know what she likes and doesn't like.

well, you should ask her if she eats meat. I mean its kinda strange that u as her boyfriend, u didnt noe that your own girlfriend dosent eat beef, or meat.

#99, why the hell do u give? like im sorry, but why is it any of your buissness? like if somone dosent want to eat meat let them be. It dosent always have to be a religious reason like not eating pork. I have many friends who are vegitarians and ok like not eating meat isnt going to stop like those people who slaughter the animals but you know, if its that uncofortable to them and they love animals. Why is that a problem? And i am a vegetairan myself, and i agree with #104 people espeacially vegetarians dont want to take part in that. Does that bother you? well, if it does u need some help dumbass. Like, u hate vegetarians cuz we dont eat meat.... ? is that a very logical explaination to hate them? no. Everyone has there own opinion and i heard some pretty stupid ones. Yours, is by far the most stupidest reason ever. Get a life...

You should have asked her if there were any foods she couldn't eat before wasting so much money out on a dinner... but it's the thought that counts, and at least you tried.

Hey, nice gesture, but you really need to know what she likes, or at the very least the basics -- things she refuses to eat -- before you cook for her. Having said that, even if you know what she likes, cooking a really fancy meal and all isn't a great idea so early in the relationship. I've done it, a number of years ago, and it was a mistake. It was just too much. She felt she couldn't return it...so she didn't try. Quick way to end it.

I've never seen beef ribs served. They must be enormous. 5 people could be satisfied with even one of the larger ones. Surely the OP meant pork ribs.

Things I learned from this thread (multiple times): 1. Many commentors don't bother reading the comments before commenting themselves. 2. Some people believe that the only animal in the world with edible ribs is the pig. 3. When preparing a "fancy meal" for their SO, many people will forget to buy a good (often expensive) bottle of wine to go with their elaborate meal. 4. Someone doesn't eat Ribs (or Beef) should be dumped immediately. 5. Someone who doesn't eat Ribs (or Beef) MUST be a Vegan (not Hindu?). All Vegans are stupid. 6. The OP possibly stole this idea from a movie, specifically "How to lose a guy in 10 days." Finally, if the OP is on the level, he really should have asked his new GF what she likes to eat, or won't eat, before spending so much time and effort on a home-cooked meal. OP? You definitely deserved this one.

That sucks. You should have known what she likes to eat, though, and also, you mentioned you made broccoli and biscuits as well. She can eat those can't she?

what a bitch id shove some meat in her mouth just to teach her a lesson. nowhatimean
