Today, I sprayed down some ants in my house. In the sea of ant corpses was a single living ant seemingly cradling a dead one in its arms. I'm convinced I just became the villain in an epic tragedy. Now I have to live with my ant problem because I can't bear to tear another family apart. FML

If it makes you feel better, it was carrying it away to eat it. So they aren't a family, they are scavengers. Read up on ant sociology before you look even more like an emotional idiot.

I am an entomologist and he was probably just eating the other ant or trying to to take him back to the queen for food. You only see 5-10% of an any ant nest so stop being ridiculous
