Today, I started growing hair on my upper lip. I'm finally becoming a man! Too bad I'm a 17 year old girl. FML

that's actually a myth, however you've even got the myth wrong. When you shave hair it appears to grow in darker because as opposed to growing in naturally and tapering to a point like normal hair, it has a blunt edged due to being cut by the razor. Waxing pulls the hair out at the root and therefore when it grows back would not appear any darker than the hair before.

its normal- and trust me, other people wont see it as clearly as you do. you may think that its "omg so dark and awful and hairy", but i can bet that no one else is even going to notice, or care for that matter.

All girls get hair on their upper lip. Just wax or bleach

If you're just talking about a little bit of hair, Perfectly normal, nothing to worry about. If you're talking about a full-on mustache like guys have, not really a big deal, either. Just wax it or shave it, or join a circus or something.

i laughed my ass off when i saw your name

This only happens if you're fat enough to have screwed up hormones. YDI for being a fat ****.

Reminds me of a time I was with my wife's brother. He's about 17 and was starting to grow out a peachfuzz mustache. I was teasing him about it and pointed to my wife saying that even she could grow a better mustache. I only came out of it slightly bruised. :) It was soooo worth it though.

#89: not only are you wrong, you're also rude. now be quiet.

I wonder if you'll get a mustache groomer for Christmas! I know I'd want one. :)

I'm a brunette and the hair on my arms and the bit above my lip are all VERY fair. Actually in the summer you'd never know I had it on my arms at all. Thick dark hair on my head, but legs, arms, etc, all fine and thin. I had a friend, naturally blonde, who had darker and thicker hair on her arms and had to bleach her lip. We aren't talking "Woah" or anything, more to the point, it was just much more noticeable than my own, a natural brunette. Bottom line, it has nothing to do with the color of your hair (yes, blondes are more LIKELY to have light colored hair everywhere), but genes are the real determinant.

Lol don't worry it's common. Anyway I loved the way you worded your fml! Sooo funny!
