What I'm saying is that theres two types of Christians: the over religious type Christian that tries to force their views on everyone else, and the normal Christian who believes in God but doesn't shove their beliefs down everyone's throats.

I don't believe in God, but you don't see me attacking people with my views. I just think you don't need religion to be a good person. I tend to avoid the over religious, or over anti-religious people as they don't know when enough is enough.

Fir the love of ..........never mind. I hate it when other people try to push their beliefs on others, especially when family does it. It is hard to tell your own mother to stop because most of the time it is coming from a place of love. Reality of it is that everyone has to find their own spiritual path, people need to figure out what is right for them. Just because your parents believe in God and have a set of beliefs it doesn't mean it is right for you. Even if you did you may not have the same approach to it as them. It is an idvidual thing, not a family thing.

I think some religious parents have it in their heads that when they die they will go to heaven, and they want their children to be there with them. If their children don't follow the same path as them they think they won't be able to spend eternity with them. It is bullcrap of course but they think they are doing it out of love.
