Today, I started the bleaching treatments that my dentist recommended. Now, my two front teeth have ultra white spots, the rest of my teeth are still yellow and the roof of my mouth is burned. FML

Today, I decided to try whitening my teeth for the first time. I applied the strips to my teeth and decided to lay down and wait for the thirty required minutes to pass. I accidentally fell asleep and woke up three hours later. My teeth are still in excruciating pain and are covered in white streaks. FML

Today, I went to the orthodontist's to get my braces tightened, and I chose baby blue bands. Turns out they make my teeth look extremely yellow. Only a month and a half to go. FML

Today, I went to the dentist. After drilling my teeth for what seemed like hours, he gave me a long speech about how if I continue to smoke, the yellowing of my teeth won't be the only problem. I don't smoke. I never have. FML

Today, after a childhood of battling bad teeth and cavities, I'm an overzealous brusher. I found out that I have cavities in all quadrants of my mouth from over-brushing, which will need multiple appointments to fill. FML

Today, my dentist applied a paste on my teeth to make them more resistant. It tasted so disgustingly like artificial banana that I had to throw up. I'm not allowed to brush my teeth, drink or eat for 4 hours. FML

You have a piss poor dentist. I'm a dental assistant in the UK. Here, home treatments are NEVER to be recommended. Your dentist should be doing it themselves. If I were you i'd find a new one.

Forgot to mention in my previous post that you shouldn't use over the counter bleaching kits as they can seriously damage your teeth, however if your dentist has made special trays for you and given you a whitening kit to take home and do yourself, then that is safe, if you use it the way you were told.

Yeahhh, wanna be careful with those teeth whitening procedures, especially quick ones, most don't actually change the color of your teeth, they just eat away the stained enamel. Whiten too frequently and it's worse than not brushing at all.
