Today, I submitted my big assignment to my teacher at 1:55pm. The deadline was 2pm. She rejected it, because her watch read a few minutes after 2pm, and she maintains that the time on her watch is the "real" time. FML

Oh those teachers that refuse to be wrong. However why did you wait till the last minute?

Remember that next time you're late for class.

Why'd you wait until the last minute?

Sounds like it's "really time" for her to sync her watch.

Been there, but you sent it via email and there's a clock on her laptop and a record showing that you sent it in before the scheduled time limit. If she doesn't accept it take it to the dean of the department. She can't make up rules as she goes. She'll end up getting in more trouble.

I completely agree that this teacher was an idiot. However, if this was such a big assignment, why were you handing it in 5 minutes before the deadline?? A five minute window is nothing! You could have had many things happen that would have made you late. Again, that teacher was crazy, but perhaps you should manage your time better.

You can never argue with a teacher. That is why procrastinating is bad. You will always have some sort of boss, or someone to answer to. Might as well not risk it. The boss, in this case your teacher, is in control. The one in control is always right, and by right I mean unable to admit their faults, but nevertheless, they make the rules and you must follow them. No matter how stupid they are.

You deserve it for being a jack off who waits until 5 minutes before something is due to turn it in. I'm with the teacher. She just taught you a valuable lesson (hopefully).

next time don't leave it so late to get your assignment in especially if it's a big one!
