Maybe it is painful to wear a prosthetic? Maybe it makes walking difficult? I don't have one, so I wouldn't know and therefore cannot have an informed opinion. He deserves that spot and OP deserved to be punched for being a nosy jerk.

After my wife had back surgery, she was given handicapped parking due to an inability to walk long distances. She was constantly harassed by people like the OP. Regardless of the handicapped parking sticker on the car, people felt it necessary to let her know she shouldn't use it. Ultimately, she decided the pain of walking long distances was better than the harassment received from strangers. I'm glad he hit you. Maybe you will think twice about judging and confronting someone without any details.

OH man, I'm sorry that people hassled your wife. People do that with my cousin all the time. She has a blood clot that cannot be removed by surgery and if she exerts herself too much, it can dislodge and kill her. People give her shit about a lot of things that she can't do anything about. I want to sucker punch every single one of them. They do not know what it's like to have a ticking time bomb inside ready to go off. People need to stop judging others for things like this. It's ridiculous.

#43 Tell your cousin to get a greenfield filer. I had to get one because at the ripe old age of 20 I had a heart attack due to a blood clot. They suggested the filter and it has done wonders for me. 5 years and 17 clots later I'm still ticking.

83, She might not care what other people think of her, but, whether she does or not, it's pretty damn obnoxious when people start harassing you. If you ignore them, they might just follow you and bitch at you more. Plus, if you don't correct people when they are wrong, they might do it to other people, potentially people with low self esteem, or who are in trouble.

YDI. My aunt has cancer, and due to the treatment she gets a Blue Badge as she cannot walk very far or very fast. She's constantly being shouted at for "wasting spaces" . Don't judge OP.
