Today, I told my best friend I was breaking up with my girlfriend of 3 years. He thought it would be funny to tell her I was going to propose to her that night. She showed up telling me how much she loves me and that when we get married how great it will be. FML

Today, I announced to my friends that I'd proposed to my girlfriend and she'd said yes. I thought they'd be happy for me, since they were the ones who introduced me to her after all. Instead, they all were flabbergasted. One told me, "You realize we set you up with that fat chick as a joke, right?" FML

Dump the friend. Immediately. Do not talk to him again, return calls, emails, or text messages. He's out of your life. Maybe let things cool down a bit before you dump the girl. You want to make sure this is what you want. If it's not right, it's not right, but you want to be sure.
