Yeah, but going out in public in a two-piece and sandals isn't the best idea depending on where you go. Most places require at least a crop top if she doesn't want to wear a full length one, and short shorts if she doesn't want to wear pants or something. There's a clear line between changing to suit the occasion and wearing something inappropriate in most cases.
Some could argue it's not even appropriate to walk around in a bathing suit unless you're at a pool. I quite frankly don't care; I see hundreds of people a day and many of them are dressed strangely. I have, however, met customers who complain about other customers' apparel because it's "too revealing" or something. I'm glad to hear she knows when not to walk around like that... again, many people don't have that discretion. Even if she didn't know though... that's what her friends (and you) are for. You're right though, it's not necessary to dress up in all situations. Hell, even for me, I hate dressing up. Jeans and a tee or I don't go unless it's formal, and then I have to dress up.
I bet there's way more to this story. You're probably a really mean gf and this was the last straw and he finally decided to leave you. I'm proud of him xD
There's also one more potential side to the story you're not thinking of - where they were going and what was required attire.
your belongings sure matched the ground.
too mean maybe?
Sounds like ur a controling bitch.
Didn't match? He isn't/wasn't your boyfriend.. He is/was your doll, all the time..
Wow. Temper tantrum much? Haah. How old is he? lol
I don't know if it's already been said but maybe you demand a lot from him and this was the last straw.

looks like he thought your belongings didn't match his house
I always trust a girls sense of fashion. lol. They typically know what they are talking about.
