how can he trust you if youre so inconsistent with decisions I'd have done the same thing
I don't see this - everyone is entitled to a "light-bulb moment" and it's your partner who should be there to support you if you reach one. If the OP were repeatedly on and off the wagon then I can understand the BF but we have no evidence of that.
I suppose it's inconsistent to realize that you're doing the stupid thing and start doing the smart thing. However, exactly because of this inconsistency organic species have evolved.
Lady, don’t worry about that loser. He did you a favor by leaving you. If he needs to be drunk to be having a good time, he is probably someone very dull in the everyday life anyway. He should be on the contrary supporting you fully in that decision and be proud of you. He is simply stupid, immature and selfish. My fiancé enjoys getting drunk once and while with his mates and I don’t drink at all. He has no problem with that. So don’t worry, not all men are like your ex. Good luck.
Well then you got a wrong person in life dear... Who thinks that u need alcohol to be high in life and having fun lol
most people who don't drink at all, are boring. moderation my friend go out and drink at least 3 times a month, and go get your retarded boyfriend back.
#58 > That is one stupid statement if I ever saw one. Alcohol is not necessary to have fun. You gotta be very boring and childish to think so. I have great nights out without having a single drop of booze. And most of my friends do drink. Moderation has not its place when there is an issue of potential addiction and OP is afraid she might not be able to control her drinking if she keeps going. She is a very strong woman for realizing it and is better off without that sad excuse of a boyfriend she had.
I am totally on your side!!!! I am the same, i dont see it as boring. I see it as smart. You go girl!!!!
What a dick! My fiancé told me he was giving up drinking and I've been really supportive of him.
I can't imagine having someone who is Supossed to be one of your greatest supporters in the world act like such a selfish inconsiderate asshole!!!! He definitely did you a favor, you deserve so much better!!!!! Hold your head up high & be proud of yourself!!! You have your entire life to look forward to!!!! Being happy & healthy & asshole free!!!! Wishing you all the best on your road to recovery !!!!!
Alcohol == not boring. Logic, my friends; pure logic. I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

He is the boring one because he thinks you need alcohol to have a good time!
I'm sorry OP. Don't listen to that turtle dick. I know plenty of exciting sober people. Good for you for making an effort! Good luck!
