good for you! don't listen to them. its just a name anyway
there is no way I will take my husband's last name. mine is just too awesome.
Come on man, at the very least be a hyphenate. Taking her last name is just not an option.
I kept my name (last male in family line). Wife kept her name (only has a sister, so, end of her family name, plus she's a professional who is known by that name). Daughter is hyphenated. Keep them both going. I'm aiming for her to keep her name, but really it's no big deal. People should worry about more important things.
Yea..you're whooped. It's ok...take the hit
Your family = assholes. Sorry you have to deal with them. You're not the first husband to take his wife's name. That shows you are confident and not bound by retarded traditions. A big middle finger to your neanderthal family from me.
Wow. Sexist much? There's nothing wrong at all with that decision. Besides, it's a sweet gesture, and also your choice to make. They have no right to judge you.
I understand that people have their own opinions about this topic, but, even as a female only child who is dating one of three brothers, if he ever wanted to do something like take my last name I would laugh at him. It's a nice gesture, and very progressive, but it's definitely not for everybody.

It doesn't make you whipped. That's the cutest thing ever.
