Today, I took a test as part of a job requirement. I took a sip from a bottle of juice, and the lady leading the test gave me a warning. I tried to explain that if I didn't, I would faint. She took the bottle and hid it. 15 minutes later I collapsed. She thought I was faking. I'm hypoglycemic. FML

Wow. One on hand, you really should have said "I'm hypoglycemic," instead of just saying that you would faint. But on the other.. Taking juice away on a job test from somebody that claims that they'd faint... She should be getting in trouble for that. Hope you got the job!

I gave you a FYL even though you should have told her up front just to save yourself from fainting. Hopefuuly you did not get hurt and she feels bad. She should have asked if you really would faint. For in the future, they make these yummy glucose tablets for people with low-blood sugar. My boyfriend is a diabetic and when his sugar gets low he sucks or chews on one. I had one once when I got dizzy and lighted and they are yummy! Keep some of them with you so you don't pass out again.

You really should have said something more than "I'll faint." That just sounds dramatic. "I'm sorry, but I really do need this. I'm hypoglycemic." might have worked better. On the other hand, if you said you needed it, she shouldn't have taken it away.

fainting sucks. i have vasovagal disorder (a fainting disorder) and a connective tissue disorder (ehlers danlos syndrome) and i always have to keep hydrated and aware of my body. its annoying to always have to explain your medical history to anyone. they should trust you if you say "i cant run" or "im going to faint" also the girl probably would of thought she was faking the hypoglycemia. i definitely feel you. fyl and you do not deserve this. and all the people who are saying you do dont understand this

I hate frivolous lawsuits but this is justified, especially if you required medical treatment after passing out. That interviewer was WAY out of line.

If I were in their HR or legal department, I'd at the very least give you another chance at the test for fear of an ADA lawsuit.

Sweet, the lawsuit should bind you over until you find another job! Maybe you could take over for the bitch that just got fired?

YDI for not being clear enough about your issue. Not the proctors fault. Do you know how much shit people try to pull on tests? And #27 it becomes their business if they have to bend a rule because of your issue.
