Today, I took a test as part of a job requirement. I took a sip from a bottle of juice, and the lady leading the test gave me a warning. I tried to explain that if I didn't, I would faint. She took the bottle and hid it. 15 minutes later I collapsed. She thought I was faking. I'm hypoglycemic. FML

Wow. One on hand, you really should have said "I'm hypoglycemic," instead of just saying that you would faint. But on the other.. Taking juice away on a job test from somebody that claims that they'd faint... She should be getting in trouble for that. Hope you got the job!

I'm pretty sure what she did was illegal. Its just like taking someone's high blood pressure medicine and they have a heart attack, or taking an old man's cane and he falls and injures himself. Its all the same thing really.

#20, stop it. No one is going to mention your number because they agree. They'll only mention it because like #86 said, you're extremely annoying and no one likes you. Maybe the OP did say they were hypoglycemic and the lady didn't believe them. They did say they "tried to explain", so that probably means they mentioned hypoglycemia in there somewhere.

Ur the retard 26! I hope u got the job anyways.....or at least a re-test. And you should definatly sue that bitch!

What a bitch.. I know what you mean. My mom, sister, and I are all hypoglycemic as well so we have to eat and drink at certain times to. We can tell when we need to eat and drink something or else we'll go into hypoglycemic shock.. That's just ****** up. She should get written up for that. You have a medical reason for having a drink with you so that you don't pass out and they can't tell you can't have it if there is a medical reason behind it.

#5, there are no medical alert bracelets for hypoglycemia

What a ****. Don't bother taking the job.

YDI for letting her take the bottle. Shouldn't you have some medical card or something saying your problem in the event you did faint someplace

Umm... ok, but I blame u Wouldnt that be something to include while GETTING INTERVIEWED for a job?!? anywayz; since there r no medical bracelets for hypoglycemia, just get one for diabetes.

ok even if she did say she was hypoglycemic the proctor may not have believed her anyway. the proctor didn't believe her about the fainting so to all of those saying she should have told... who says they would believe her anyway?

Ugh that sucks. I had a surgery a couple years ago and couldn't do P.E. in school. I know how it feels to not want to explain medical conditions to people who don't know you very well (in my case the teachers). It's not anyone's business! Why would someone lie just to have juice in a test anyway? Sounds like the proctor was just power hungry.
