Today, I took a test as part of a job requirement. I took a sip from a bottle of juice, and the lady leading the test gave me a warning. I tried to explain that if I didn't, I would faint. She took the bottle and hid it. 15 minutes later I collapsed. She thought I was faking. I'm hypoglycemic. FML

Wow. One on hand, you really should have said "I'm hypoglycemic," instead of just saying that you would faint. But on the other.. Taking juice away on a job test from somebody that claims that they'd faint... She should be getting in trouble for that. Hope you got the job!

Get a note from your doc or a medic alert bracelet.

Am i the only one who can't see the reason why one was not allowed to drink juice while taking a test?

#42- What difference does it make if your employee has to take sips of juice? If it's an office job (which it seems like it is because there's a test) then what's wrong with having a drink on your desk? And to all the people claiming fake because they have the same condition- could it be possible that maybe this person has a greater glucose deficiency than you? It's not like every medical problem pops up in the same way.

Yeah I'd definitely sue them. Health issues are not a laughing matter, there needs to be consequences for this kind of behavior.

Wtf? Are you going to cheat by drinking juice? Answers in the liquid? ****** up

#80, hypoglycemia is actually a chronic condition; your liver is pretty good at maintaining your blood glucose levels even when you run out of glycogen, so people who have not eaten in a while are not hypoglycemic. And extreme hypoglycemia is not a symptom of diabetes; diabetes actually causes hyperglycemia, while excess insulin (which has been taken to combat the hyperglycemia) can cause hypoglycemia.

I don't think they give out bracelets for hypoglycemia because anyone has the potential to be in a state of hypoglycemia. Basically its your body in a state of low blood sugar. That can happen to anyone if they havent eaten properly. If you are at a point where you need to eat/drink something consistently than perhaps you have something more serious like diabetes where your body isn't properly managing your suger levels. And for that you can get a medical bracelet and im sure if you told someone you are diabetic it would be taken more seriously.

LOL pfft you should sue, and u'd win

what is it with people's inability to believe someone? a friend of mine went to give blood and told the nurses he gets very squeamy about the sight of blood, but they wouldn't let him sit down, so as soon as they stuck him he passed out and smashed his face into the ground.
