Today, I took a test as part of a job requirement. I took a sip from a bottle of juice, and the lady leading the test gave me a warning. I tried to explain that if I didn't, I would faint. She took the bottle and hid it. 15 minutes later I collapsed. She thought I was faking. I'm hypoglycemic. FML

Wow. One on hand, you really should have said "I'm hypoglycemic," instead of just saying that you would faint. But on the other.. Taking juice away on a job test from somebody that claims that they'd faint... She should be getting in trouble for that. Hope you got the job!

She HID it? What on Earth? How old are you?

I worked with someone who would suddenly stand up in meetings and say "I have to go and eat something or I'll collapse". It was easier for him because he was the boss :-). He couldn't understand how I could only have one meal a day (dinner), likewise drink nothing until evening, and still function!

36-normally I'd want to agree with you that people should just trust when it comes to personal issues, but the reality is that so many people fake things that if you're not careful you'll just get played every time. and 79-you are aware that there are other blood sugar related issues that AREN'T diabetes? i don't have one but...jeeze i've been to a biology class... people are so uneducated

To all the people who are asking why you can't drink juice in a test, it's because sometimes cheaters will write answers, clues, or formulas on the inside of the paper that wraps around the bottle and then stick it back down. Then when they are drinking, they can peer into the bottle and see the answers. It was such a problem in my bio class in high school that bottles during tests were banned.

To all those saying the OP should've just said they're hypoglycemic, the OP could've been thinking that the woman didn't know what hypoglycemia was. Personally I didn't until I read the FML & realized that's what my friend has. (She never called it hypoglycemia, she always just said she had really low blood sugar and would faint without eating or drinking sugary things in class). I do think the woman should take responsibility for this, although I don't think there should be a lawsuit. I know that many people will lie and try to get away with things, so I understand why the woman might have thought she was faking (although that is a bitch move), but the OP did say that they would faint without it, and instead of just taking the juice away, the woman HID it.

you should walk back in there with a gallon of juice and hit her in the head with it...maybe she will understand it then
