Sounds like Walmart lol
You know, I feel like that's way better than a boss that fires you for no reason. Sounds like good job security to me. But if you really wanna quit, he shouldn't scare you into staying.
If he tries it call the police on him. The real world is not a place where you can bully your way through (unless you have a few million in the bank).
and then OP should get some of the millions if they want him that badly
He can do that if he wants to be arrested for trespassing and assault.
Wait a few weeks, repeat the same thing and this time record the threats, then quit. If anything happens, you have proof. Or, go to HR and threaten to sue them.
That is SO illegal in many ways I can't even begin to think on where to start. Slave labor, for one, is not legal, so forcing you to work when you want to quit, is kind of a no-no. I would suggest approaching the lawyer and having them sue the living shit out of the company so that your manager get taught a lesson, a very very expensive lesson, where he also loses his job for being a moron
That’s even more of a reason to quit, holy shit! That’s so crazy.
I think he has that right according to the Dred Scott case.

Ask for a raise, duh.
