You don't have to buy your S.O. a Christmas present if you don't have the money to. A relationship shouldn't be based on buying shit for the other person. =p Unless she's a princessy bitch who has a big list of shit that she wants everybody in her life to get her, you shouldn't have to consider breaking up with her due to a lack of gift money.

I absolutely agree with you. Presents are not a big deal, However the real FML is that he feels like the solution to this is dumping her. Because it would be completely absurd to just talk to his girlfriend and agree to not exchange gifts right? Even if he does feel like he MUST do somthing, why can't he just do somthing nice for her instead of a present.
