Today, I've been dieting and working out trying to work towards some solid abs because I know my girlfriend digs that stuff. I've been miserable trying to achieve this goal, plus to make things even better while kissing today she grabbed my stomach and said "I just love your abs of... flab." FML

Today, my girlfriend dumped me because I've recently become serious about getting fit, and have lost nearly 84 pounds. Apparently, when I was fat, I made her look smaller in comparison. When I got slimmer, she insisted I either gain the weight back or she'd leave. So she did. FML

Dude, abs aren't an easy thing to achieve. They can take years. Be glad your girlfriend was at least trying to be nice. And if youre miserable trying to get them, then don't bother anymore. Your girlfriend should still like you regardless of your flabyness.

it's a shame that she made an insensitive comment, but not all girls like guys with ripped bodies. if she's been with you this long, she's probably a fan of your body. also, don't ever put yourself through that kind of discomfort for someone else. do it for yourself.

who cares what your girlfriend likes? if youre happy with yourself then thats all that matters. dont change your appearance to fit what 'she' likes. she obviously isnt appreciative of it anyways.
