Today, I walked into a gas station and saw some $.25 gum. It looked good and I thought I had a quarter in my pocket. I found no change in my pocket once I got to the register, so I pulled out my credit card. The cashier laughed a few seconds later when my card was declined for a piece of gum. FML

Most places won't even let you use your card for something that cheap, they have to pay a fee every time someone charges. They'd lose money.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! oh tht happens if u use a debit card!! It's a sign, don't do a lot of shopping!!!

I totally agree with you. It's really annoying when someone needs to hold up a line, paying with their credit card for a pack of gum. At the store I go to, they don't make you sign recipets if the total is under $5. Stupid, you should have $5 on you, the interest probably costs more...

People like you need to cut up that card and start spending your money and not relying on the banks money to buy you some 25cent gum. No wonder the world is coming in a recession, its people like you that need to be blamed.

If you don't have $.25, get a friken job!!

she wanted to buy gum shut the **** up yeah its silly ..but whoooooooo cares.. im sure you ALL have done worse.... REMEMBER THIS IS F MY LIFE???...yyouooore allll on it for something just as bad.. as same for me.. but im NOT being a douchhhheeee bag like you all and being a buzz kill chill the **** out.

#40 no moron should pay for a pack of gum with a credit card, the interest is more than the gum itself.

don't feel too bad...a lot of places won't let you make a purchase with a credit card unless you spend a minimum amount...most places it's a dollar, some it's $5. i used to work at starbucks and it's the same there...not even 99 cents works. it has to be a dollar or more, otherwise it "declines" the card.
