I can only agree with this to a certain extent. I didn't start having sex until 3 months before my 21st birthday, and I am one of the most upbeat; and confident women you'd ever meet. I wasn't ready to have sex at a younger age, and so I didn't. And because I know my worth I didn't let any boy or man for that matter pressure me into doing the deed. If you couldn't wait for me then you simply weren't worth my time, and it was your loss. I have loads of self-esteem, and am not insecure at all. But again I knew who I was and what I was worth early on. So I knew I didn't need to have sex w a boyfriend. But children have sex. When I was in the seventh and eight almost all the girls and boys in our grade was having sex, and with one another. We weren't even 13 yet. I know people who have had oral sex as early as 6 years old; and have a friend who grew up in a very strict religious household, and she first had a penis in her ****** at 5 years old. She initiated. It is known that babies ********** in the womb. Babies who are born, and are only a few months old **********. So it doesn't always have to do with this "overly sexualized" society. People are horny by nature. But I don't expect sexually repressed people to understand that. At a very young age i even experienced with the sexual aspects of life, as I was very horny at 4,5,6 years of age. It happens. This child is having sex, and although she shouldn't be scaring her isn't the answer. Sex is not bad, it's is pleasureable and healthy for you. But a child can not deal with the consequences of sex so therefore should not have it. However she is already engaging and you will not be able to stop that from happening. Educate her not scare her. She needs to have a healthy attitude regarding sex, not a scary perspective. Show her what could happen, explain to her the consequence that is a baby. Help her to come to the logical conclusion that she is not ready for what sex can bring. Then still arm her with condoms for when she has those moments when she is caught up in her hormones. It's not the worse thing in the world. Your daughter is getting laid, it was going to happen sooner or later. It could be worse; she could be having sex with a willing relative. Lord knows lots of people start out having sex with their brothers and cousins lol. Ugh!
