Yeah, I had that happen to me. I had bought a purse that still had an alarm gadget in it The old lady at the Walmart was all "I want to see in that bag." and I was all--"uh, no." She then proceeded to call security. I laughed and left. Sorry. You don't get to go thru my bag as I am walking in the doors.
Security may not be allowed to, but technically they are allowed to detain you until the real police arrive. They actually can do that.
They do always return to the scene of the crime :p
ive always had a paranoia of the beepers going off for some reason no matter the situation. im sorry that happened must have been embarrassing
They seem as dumb as their own security system. Kinda beats the purpose then.
faith in humanity: dead
Tell them to review the cctv footage. They will be able to of traced your movements. Then when its revealed you haven't taken anything ask about your compensation for deformation of character and embarrassment you had to endure......assuming your innocent of course.
You probably mean 'defamation'? You can only claim that if you can show you actually suffered due to their actions, which I highly doubt...

Most people just look around and keep walking if it happens while they're entering
How does this happen as one enters a store? Was anyone else exiting as you came in?
