Today, I was at a basketball game. Sitting in the bleachers, I looked over at my friend and said, "Number 33 has a really cute butt." The man in front of us turned around, looked me dead in the eye, and said, "Thanks." Number 33's dad was a very proud father. FML

Well, at least he knew his son had a good butt.

He then got up and asked if he has a nice butt too. Like father like son (or daughter)

I love all the people getting excited that their number is 33. Probably not you, calm down. :P

I think it's a little disrespectful to talk about somebody in public, even if they are out of ear shot, other people might not be. You know, their friends, or, hey, their Dad, could be right next to you, and tell them later. Or, the mean kids could be near you, and then hear other people talking about them, and use that as an excuse to make fun of them. If you think they have a cute butt, that's fine, but talk about it in private!

OP was making a comment to her (I'm going to assume genders here, so forgive me) friend about the attractiveness about a certain athlete. It's something we women do sometimes. It must have been embarrassing to have the player's father turn around and say "thanks". I'm going to guess that OP is female and the player male. I don't think many fathers react to comments about their daughters' physical attributes as positively, and I don't know that many men would attend a women's basketball game unless it's with their wives/girlfriends.

Hell, I'd be proud if I was in the fathers shoes

yeah but could OP trust the dad to pass the number on?

At least you made someone happy, that should be good.
