I had few dogs in the past and I currently have two shih tzu and they are great! cute and loving and gets attentions from everyone when I take them for a walk. no other dog I own before can compare to them. So maybe you should own one before you judge them.

WCARlover, I give you 10 points for loving WCAR, but minus 5 points for not liking the kind of dog I have. You still win though. :)

My next door neighbors have two shi tzus. They have the worst bark ever! You won't believe how many times I've ran outside, thinking a small child was being hurt, to see them barking at the mailbox or something equally idiotic.

Funny thing. I've owned three Shih Tzus before and the only time any of them ever barked was when there was something threatening outside. Like the neighbourhood asshole trying to vandalise our property. Or a bear mauling our trash cans. One of the three dogs was so quiet, I don't think she ever barked more than ten times total, in her whole life. Your neighbours probably just don't know how to train their dogs, which is a shame because a Shih Tzu, being a lapdog, makes a very loyal and loving companion. Even if they have a habit of running directly in front of your feet when you're not looking.

shih tzus are really hairy and i shave them in the summer so its not to hot for them. and i only shave the body, not the head and tail

Apparenty howslife doesn't know what a troll is, so they made up their own definition - a troll is anyone who disagrees with their (uneducated) opinion. Who goes through 20+ years of life without knowing that some people shave their dogs?

not my real age^^ :P and yeah I made up my own definition because when I think of trolls I just think of things that just live to annoy you..
