I had an allergic reaction to a medicine the first time I took it. Maybe food is different?
this was a reply to Goddessnike...
Oh and if the babysitter asked why (because little kids with allergies know that whatever their allergic to was bad) the kid probably would have told you. Means you are not a considerate person of others to ask why. Evolutionary fail. btw this happened to me once as a kid with chips that the babysitter brought over. She spilt some into my butterless popcorn and I ate a crumb and had to go to the hospital. I had told her before that I was allergic and I told my parents it was my fault because she was a cool babysitter and I didn't want her to be upset because she was like freaking out and stuff. my 2 cents
I see the scenario playing out this way: OP: "Here, kids. Have some chocolate!" Other Kid(s): "YAY!" *happily munch away* Youngest (sad): I don't like chocolate. OP (feels guilty for having nothing else to offer): "Are you sure? Have you tried it?" Youngest: "No." OP: "Well, here. Maybe you'll like it." Youngest: *gasp cough gasp* Then the sirens come in: WEEOOH WEEOOH...
well, its not ur fault, bc ur dumbass boss shoulda let u know... FYL.
"I had an allergic reaction to a medicine the first time I took it. Maybe food is different?" I'm not a doctor, so don't take what I say as fact, only my opinion. But I do believe it's difference with medicine, because the first time I was prescribed an Albuterol inhaler, my doctor put me on a nebulizer (sp?) first to see how I would react, and my throat swelled up and I had to get immediate care. No serious damage was done, but because of that, the doc determined I couldn't use the Albuterol. So instead, along with the Amoxicilin, I got Tussionex to calm the cough. Tuissonex = the best! But I digress...

I call bullshit. Your boss didn't tell you his kid was allergic to chocolate?
