Today, I was backing out of my snowy drive way on my way to work. I thought I hit a lump of snow. I'd run over my white cat. FML

And the cat's white, so maybe OP just didn't see! This happens! My cat is black and I tend to confuse her for sweaters a lot! Or step on her because I think she's a shadow!

That's why you keep your cats in doors... cats that live outside have a life span of 3 - 4yrs. So sad... sorry bout your cat... that really sucks!!!

My cat was hit and killed yesterday because she somehow got out. I spent forever trying to find her then my brother did, in the street. I live on a dead end street next door to a playground too so you'd think people would be driving carefully enough that it would be pretty hard to hit something unless you just totally weren't paying attention at all, in which case that could have just as easily been a kid. I don't get people who hit animals and try to say it was unavoidable, except maybe on very busy streets, but it mostly happens in residential areas where you should be being careful and paying extra attention for kids animals etc which may come into the street. So FYL I share your pain, but YDI for not keeping it inside and not paying enough attention to differentiate YOUR cat from snow, and in dangerous driving conditions you should be paying even extra attention..

I'm soooo sorry, that breaks my heart. I have two kitties and the thought of me accidentally running over one makes me wanna cry. Good thing they are house cats :.)

Good, I hate cats. Useless unless you live on a farm. 'ooh look at me i'm a cat that likes to run away'
