Today, I ran over a cat while driving home. I tried to keep myself together but couldn't help but cry because of how bad I felt. Through my tears I failed to notice a porcupine in the middle of the road. Yep, I hit him too. FML

Today, my cat got outside and had the bright idea to walk in the middle of the road, right as a car was coming. The driver didn't notice him, so I had to sprint over there, leap into the road, and toss my cat to safety. He's fine, aside from being soaked (he landed in a puddle), but I've felt better. FML

Today, I swerved to avoid running over a dead cat in the road. Instead, I ran over its head. The crack of its skull was loud enough for me to hear it. FML

Today, my car got stuck in a foot of snow. I tried desperately digging around my wheels to see if it would help. I was finally able to get out 10 minutes later only to realize that I had dropped my phone in the snow while I was digging and had run over it. FML

Today, I'm at my grandparents' house to help clear snow. I was making a path to the driveway by pushing the snow out of the way. I saw a big pile and went to kick it really hard. Alas, it was a step. FML

Today, I saw a poor helpless cat in the middle of the road while driving. I pulled over and scooped it in my arms to bring it to safety. Not only did I get mauled and scratched by the cat, my car also wasn't put in park and rolled away hitting a parked car. FML

i will send condolences, OP. I've actually had a dog of mine chase a cat right under the wheel of my car as I was backing out of the driveway, so I pretty much know how you feel. Of course, I was also high on pot, so ... yeah. Talk about a bad trip. Funny story actually! But, I digress. Anyway! I'm sorry that happened. I know you probably don't necessarily see it as "hilarious" as people have suggested, rather see it as a true F__K MY LIFE. Because.. last time I checked, wait a minute, let me check again. YEP, This site IS called FML.com, I thought so. I'm blonde though, and I could easily be mistaken, so I had to check twice before I chastise anybody. Seems like a good FML moment to me! Sad, but accurate.

Perhaps the owner or the owner's family, who probably loved the cat, care. But apparently caring about something or someone other than yourself is a foreign concept to you. I have an idea. Maybe someone should run over YOU and we'll see who cares.
