Today, I was baking cookies and opened the oven door to check on them. Apparently, wearing a gold necklace means the wave of heat will burn your very fair skin. I now have a bright red ring of stars around my neck. FML

West coast redneck. The physics of this story is somewhat dubious if you are using a normal oven. Do not bake cookies in an iron smelter!

First I thought "YDI" but then again I'd burn myself for some cookies So, FYL. :P

Ok, people need to think. The heat didn't burn her; the NECKLACE'S heat did. Since most if not all metal is highly conductive of heat, then therefore the 450 degree (just for an example) could heat the necklace to 100+ degrees rather quickly. And plus someone with "fair" skin, they burn all the easier. So the people who said "YDI" are either trolls, or morons with less than a 9th grade education. Thank You.

Having fair skin has nothing to do with burning from heat more easily. You are confusing that with a sun burn. She mentioned her fair skin because the red burn will stand out more. You are obviously a moron "with less than a 9th grade education".

Step one- preheat oven to 1350 degrees. Step two- bake for 30 seconds or until golden brown.
