In retrospect it probably was the pharmacy tech who made the comment, I'm never sure who's who behind the counter. Regardless, I'll be calling the store in the morning to report them and figure out if I need to do anything else to get their ass fired. Also, just for the record epilepsy is far from a "mild ailment". I consider myself lucky that I've come away from most of my seizures scoff free. But even so, I've broken three ribs, had a concussion, and incurred facial scarring from falling when I seize. Not to mention that my short term memory is shot to hell and with every seizure I have I run the risk of further cognitive decline. But yeah, the medicine is definitely unnecessary. Right.

I work at a pharmacy and if any of my pharmacists acted like that, they would get into huge trouble! You should submit a customer complaint!
I work in a pharmacy as well, and I've seen some pharmacists make snide little comments that got them in trouble. I strongly recommend a formal complaint to the owner or home office and call the state board of pharmacy as well. Pharmacists are to maintain certain ethics and they may just want to know that bit about that pharmacist before it's time to renew their license.
Tell the pharmacist that if he wanted to control who got medicines then he should've gone to the medical equivalent of pilot school. Since he's a glorified flight attendant he needs to get his ass in the back and serve the drinks with a smile on his face.
Pharmacists do a college degree too champ
Time to find a new pharmacy...
It's none of his business! That happened to me when I was getting the meds that keep me alive! I've not been back to that pharmacy but, my doc said if it happens again to tell them it's none of their business what my doctor prescribes me.
Uh.. I had epilepsy for 16 years then grew out of it. This is NOT a fake disease nor a fun one and I sincerely hope you grow out of yours..now if the pharmacist made that comment about ADD or ADHD I'd be more inclined to believe it.. Not that their fake disorders but dr's have become trigger happy diagnosing it.
Good to know that you, Kitten_Calderon, know better than all those doctors out there, the ones with the extensive medical training. Boy, I'ma get my next checkup from you. None of that over-diagnosing cancer or heart disease or whatever else on your watch. Thanks, buddy.
Please note that Attention Deficit Disorder is a legitimate medical condition, and that it IS difficult to obtain the medications for it because they are so easily abused. ADD appears in people on a spectrum -- it's not some black and white condition, like you either are pregnant or aren't, or do have kidney failure or don't. ADD can be mild to severe. It can be characterized as hyperactive inattentive. If it is severe, it qualifies as a learning disability. Students with severe ADD get academic accommodations such as up to double time on exams, a separate testing site with only a proctor, and the permission to record course lectures.
Edit: I now see the rest of your post. I would say diagnosis depends on the doctor -- I've known a psychiatrist who was willing to make the diagnosis based only on instructor notes and parent/patient questionnaires, and that can result in misdiagnosis or over-diagnosis. It also won't help someone with moderate to severe ADD. Medication alone isn't enough, and you'd have to go through a battery of tests to get any accommodations.
That is pretty terrible. Time to change pharmacies. I used to get that 'making up illness' crap from my mother. Then I was diagnosed with Lupus. That shut her up.
They don't necessarily abuse their girls/guys. A lot of pimps and madams just function as managers and have good relationships with their "workers"... Although in that kind of situation the prostitutes are usually the classier type (escorts) rather than common streetwalkers.

That is ridiculously unprofessional and degrading to you. I'm normally against all of the "sue him/her"-type comments, but perhaps a formal complaint is warranted here.
