Today, I was called an 'unhelpful little bitch' by a customer, after I informed her that we couldn't order a pair of shoes she wanted from the company in her size because it's a discontinued model. This little tirade continued for another few minutes, with her insulting me and my intelligence. FML

Today, a customer said the pants she was buying rang up more than advertised. I quietly told her plus-sizes were not on sale. The customer yelled in front of a whole line of people, "So I'm fat and can't read! Any other insults you'd like to throw at me?" and stormed out of the store. FML

Today, I reduced a customer to tears and she had a tantrum, saying that nobody loves her, her life is a joke, and she’d be better off dead. This ordeal happened to grab the attention of my manager who was nearby. All I did was tell her that an item she wanted was sold out and offered to help her order it online. FML

Today, I was ringing up a lady’s items; two shoeboxes. Per policy, I’m supposed to open them. She heavily insisted I didn’t. I ignored her and found other merchandise inside. She then went on a rant on how "people should mind their own fucking business" and stormed out of the store without buying. FML

Today, I was verbally harassed by a customer because I wouldn’t give her special treatment after her meal was incorrect. I offered her a refund and a coupon for a free meal, which she refused before calling me a stupid kid who wouldn’t do anything to help her. FML

Today, a customer yelled at me so furiously that she sprayed my face with spittle. I had to stand there, smiling and politely explaining that I needed to see a receipt before I could give her a refund. When she finally gave up and left, my boss bitched me out for "provoking the customer". FML

Today, I got yelled at by my boss for being insensitive to a customer. I'd told her I never heard of the requested item even existing. She walked off shouting, screaming and throwing stuff from the shelf. She wanted to order a bird feeder with heated perches so the bird's feet won't get cold. FML

Today, I was reduced to tears and called a "useless fat bitch" by a customer I was serving. She didn’t realize that the steak fajitas she’d ordered had steak in them. She said she was a vegetarian. She failed to mention it, but apparently it was "my fault" because I “should have known." FML

Today, my boss came around to my way of thinking. He called our customers a "bunch of assholes" and to kick them out if they gave me trouble. When a lady began yelling at me for "setting the damn prices too high" I told her to leave. My boss soon bitched me out for being unprofessional. FML

Today, while at work, a customer refused to speak louder, despite me asking her to do it several times. As a result, I took her order incorrectly. The customer then finally decided to raise her voice, but only to yell at me about my poor listening skills. FML

Some people really think that the workers can magically pull shit out of their ass just ,because they work there if its not the manager or the owner of the store, why even bother? Some people are real jerks.

It's even worse when you are the manager/owner. If its escalated to the point I have to step in the customer is already super angry. Even as an owner/manager I can't pull a nonexistent product out of my bum either. I always tell my staff - I'm the most hated person in the shop - because my no is final. I try to stick up for my staff (helps when you don't hire assholes) so I've escorted plenty to the door. That's when they really start screaming. I have never yelled or cursed at a customer though.

You sound like a cool manager/owner. Yeah I know you guys can't make things appear out of thin air if it's not there. I was just saying that because sometimes managers/owners can pull a few strings to try to get a customer a specific product but hey what can you do if it doesn't exist? Nothing. a customer should understand that. FYL for having to deal with that as a manager/owner.

Oh how the secret art of killing people with kindness has been lost. Customer service is an art, doesn't mean ya gotta take crap from the crazies while loosing face at the hands of socially dysfunctional "people". Call security & say you believe they are going to harm someone. You'll be doing the next person helping them a favor.

People who are shopping can be sooo rude it's honestly really surprising sometimes. You are in full right to have them removed from the store for that kinda conduct OP.
