I can imagine she's probably tired of being hit on by the men going to her gym, but that's still an incredibly stupid thing to say to a customer. After all, you want them to come back and get a membership, not go back home humiliated and look for other gyms in their area where they won't be casually insulted by the staff.

Trust me, it is not flattery to get hit on at work all day long. It is annoying and just feels so shallow, because that is exactly what it is. It shows that you only really care about looks and have no interest in who I actually am as long as I stay attractive.

Sounds like she was just trying to be helpful and professional. She works at a fitness center; her job is to encourage fitness and personal motivation. Otherwise, when she isn't there, you lose all motivation to work out.

What she said was embarrassing, but to be fair, so is getting hit on while at work which probably happens to her a lot. YLS for being told you're fat, but YDI for putting her on the spot like that.

I don't know about you, but I don't flirt with people when they're at work. They have to be nice to me as long as I'm not a pain in the ass, so why force yourself on them? Seriously, leave strangers Lone so they can do their jobs instead of being hit on all the time.

If you're not overweight, maybe she only likes guys with muscle. If you are overweight, at least you're going to a gym and doing something about it. now you know not to chase after her :)

The douche bag of the day award goes to...Fatty! Shockingly the receptionist at the gym doesn't want you hitting on her while she's at work! It seems your cheesy lines and over-confident attitude makes you open to her slapping you in the face with a reality check.
