Today, I was closing the deal on this beautiful $200k ranch in the country. The buyer soon pulls up and we get to discussing the contract terms, soon the buyer asks the seller," Wow why is this house going so cheap?" The seller replies, "Do you believe in ghosts?" There goes my $8,000 commission. FML

Wow. That is totally screwed up. I hope the seller was saying that as a joke, if the seller wasn't then they are a total idiot.

You got the wrong buyers. If I had the money, I would've bought the house BECAUSE of the ghosts. Unless they were vengeful spirits. I'm sorry though, that really sucks. Especially in this global economy XP.

If I had 200 grand I'd gladly buy a haunted ranch in the country... my childhood home/parents' house (63 yr old building) was haunted, my current apartment (94 yr old building) is haunted, but the place i'm moving into in a month is a new construction... doubt there are any ghosts... darn.

You don't deserve $8k for the little effort it takes to show a home then do paperwork. You have your face shot with cheesy smile and your 80's hair style on all your cards and signs, don't you! YDI!!!!

ender7257-ummm... TheGathering/dol567-HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG ROFLMFAO!!! OP-that freaking sucks!!! the buyer (isn't there another term?) is an idiot though. who doesn't want a haunted house??!!

Haha, ender7257, you are retarded. You obviously know nothing about real estate.

well in all fairness you are required by law to tell the buyer if the previous owner died on the property still though, that sucks

Well I wouldn't buy a house with a ghost problem so scary that it causes me to move either!

There are laws regarding disclosing murders in the house. Hauntings, however, are "buyer beware." You can't sue someone for selling you a hounted house. Seller is an idiot, though, since they hired the realtor to make the deal and then totally blew it anyway. Anyone with half a brain knows to keep their trap shut during important transactions.
