Today, I was directing a video shoot of a big Christmas show with 750 people attending. After the first half of the show recorded; during intermission, I accidentally deleted the show as people were signing up to buy the DVD. FML

uhh I'm assuming you were already using a computer, because that's the only way to make a CD-DVD. So go to recycle bin and use an options "restore item"

Again, 1. stop using the camera and don't touch any files, 2. download Recuva and give it a go. If you did point 1 correctly point 2 should recover your lost clip
