Today, I was downtown with my boyfriend around Noon when we walked past a few guys who shouted out to me "You're the most beautiful girl we've seen all day". My boyfriend's response was "It's still early." FML

alright, let's be realistic, people. if the boyfriend was simply "guarding his territory" and trying to get the guys to back off, he could have easily replied to that comment without destroying his girlfriend's self-esteem, such as "yeah, and she's all mine!" or simply "she's taken." sure it's nice being told you're beautiful, but it's not very nice when your BOYFRIEND starts arguing that you're not. boyfriend's opinion > opinion of random strangers.

Agreed. The boyfriend could have handled that a *lot* classier. Plenty of ways to run with the compliment from those gentlemen and not be a defensive prick in ah, 'marking his territory' at *her* expense. I've even heard urinating on her is an effectively man-ish way of marking territory these days worst comes to worst; although this may only pertain to both parties being in bodies of (running)water. I would be inclined to think *anything* would be better. No need to redirect power from her self-esteem to the shields.

Woooow , this is FYL ? Why ? I think he ment that it was still early into the day. As in this was said sometime early afternoon, which is early. Maybe the people that yelled it were drunk ? xD
